Jewish heritage of Sarajevo

Take an unbelievable journey through the history of the Jewish people in this region, from the 16th century to the present day, full of interesting stories and legends that became an inseparable part of the cultural heritage of the city of Sarajevo.

Visiting the Old Jewish Temple, today the Jewish Museum, the 1902 Ashkenazi Synagogue, the old Jewish cemetery at Kovačić from the beginning of the 17th century, we will listen to the incredible story of the Sarajevo Haggadah and the Jewish holiday Sarajevo Purim, where on fourth of November 1819 people of Sarajevo freed rabbi Moša Danon and more Jews from prison.
