Coffee makers – Fildžan viška

Welcome to Sarajevo, a city that will embrace you and all other travellers, the city that has a soul and in which you will learn why we always keep extra coffee cup (fildžan viška) on our table. Bosnian merak is a regionally known term, and during this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about ćejf, muhabet, sevdah, ašikluk and about many more activities that are tied to coffee drinking and it’s enjoyment.

Educational workshop takes one hour and it gives excellant insight in history of coffee making and drinking, in it’s influence on culture, religion and science in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities that shouldn’t be missed include coffee roasting, manual grinding and boiling, and at the end you get rewarded with unique scents and tastes.

Every participiant of this workshop will have the opportunity to be an active member of the above mentioned activities, and also to learn more about customs, legends and adet (we’ll explain this one at the workshop) that are connected to coffee.
