Highlights of central Bosnia

While traveling through central Bosnia you can definitely feel like you’re in a fairy tale. This part of the country is the oldest and it contains lots of old cities that are still crowned with their fortresses. For this reason we want to take you first to Travnik, a city that stands hidden in the valley of Lašva river. One part of it is consisted of old Ottoman achitecture with perfectly preserved houses that can be found in the old cities, and on the other side is the fortress that is ovelooking the city and gives you the opportunity to see the north and the south. Here’s where we’ll have a coffee, at the same caffe where Ivo Andrić used to have it. He was born in this city, and for that reason we’ll visit his birth home, since he’s the most famous Bosnian writter that won the Nobel prize for Literature. After this we will continue up north, to visit one more old, Medieval, city. This is Jajce, a small city located above waterfall on river Pliva, that still has the old fortress of Kingdom of Bosnia at the top. Jajce used to be a capital of the Kingdom, and its citadel still stands tall.

For the end we will visit a nearby village that has the API chambers in it, that help you get the health from the bee hives through inhaling the air. The local family we will be visiting has a bee farm, and through this we will be supporting the local economy.
